This psychological drama was the first film that I scored, and during discussions with the director we settled on a certain 'sound' after I composed several 'test' tracks (with wildly different approaches!). The approach we decided on was to use synthetic sounds, and to avoid obvious use of melody.
The first section of the score is atonal, built around clusters of notes, and the second is generally impressionistic, built around a rhythmic bass pulse.
