He's got Sarah's number. She gave it to him the day they met and he thinks that they really hit it off. But why would a girl like that be interested in a guy like him?
The music for this romantic comedy was partially inspired by Rachmaninov's Piano Concertos. In the film the music is used as the protagonist imagines and re-imagines various scenarios of telephoning to ask a girl on a date. The music is intended to pastiche the overly romantic nature of this character as he imagines success or failure.
