Once again I've allowed quite a bit of time to go by without posting, and once again another great composer has passed away. Elmer Bernstein, who composed for films such as The Great Escape, The Magnificent Seven, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Man With The Golden Arm, The Age Of Innocence, Far From Heaven, and a particularly guilty pleasure, Spacehunter: Adventures In The Forbidden Zone, died in his sleep on the 18th August. I was lucky enough to see him in concert quite a few times, the last being his 80th birthday celebrations in October 2002.
In other news, I've been incredibly busy the last few weeks working on a "short" (30 minute!) film entitled The Simple Equation. Initially I was approached to work on the sound mix, but after demo-ing some music I ended up also doing the score. I'll put something up in the Music section as soon as I can.
On top of that I'm STILL working on the Furry Tails CD - I hope to get it out on sale by early November.
